WhiteBoarding
I have always believed that in order to keep creativity in flow state, you must be able to toggle from analog to digital in order to activate different synapses but keep in the same work flow.

White boarding, whether you're doing this as an individual or group setting, can be a powerful way to help "see the forest through the trees" or vice versa. Being able to quickly draw abstract pictures in order to articulate larger ideologies can be a great way to get things out in the open for a better assessment.

I would often times add in time for white boarding and found that once it was integrated as part of my process it would save me 'x' amount of time throughout the lifecycle of any project. This was especially imperative for larger, cross functional features or initiatives. Taking even 5 or 10 minutes throughout a day to quickly whiteboard an idea and share, would save hours of miscommunication or even heading in the wrong direction.

So, if a picture is worth 1,000 words.. imagine how much time and energy can be saved by just drawing a few lines on a board.
